The Scatter Plot is an excellent tool for visualizing the relationship between two variables, revealing patterns, trends, and potential outliers in the data.

Navigation to Create/Edit a Scatter Plot:

  1. Access the Dashboard:
    • Navigate to the dashboard where you intend to add or edit a metric card.
  2. Create or Edit a Metric Card:
    • For a new chart, click on "Create Metric" in the desired dashboard.
    • To edit an existing chart, open the metric card you wish to modify.
  3. Choose Chart Type:
    • In the metric editing interface, locate the "Chart Type" selector.
    • Select "Scatter" from the available chart types.

Customizing the Scatter Plot:

The "Appearance" tab allows you to enhance the Scatter Plot with these features:

  • Hide 0/null Values: This option ensures that points representing zero or null values are not displayed, focusing attention on meaningful data.
  • Enable Chart Zoom: Activating this feature allows users to zoom in on specific areas of the plot for a more detailed view of the data points.

In addition to these appearance options, you can also set up actions for the chart under the "Actions" tab, as well as customize various aspects of the "Appearance" tab. For more detailed information on both appearance customization and setting up chart actions, please refer to Chart Appearance and Chart Actions.

The Scatter Plot is especially valuable for identifying correlations, trends, and deviations in datasets, making it a staple in data analysis and statistical interpretation.
