Customizing Chart Appearance in DataBrain

Personalize your metric charts with an array of appearance settings for clarity and visual appeal.

Access Chart Appearance:

• Enter the metric card edit page.
• Click the "Appearance & Actions" icon at the top right of the chart area.
• Navigate to the "Appearance" tab.

1. Horizontal Axis Customizations:
   • Options include toggling:
     • "Hide Axis Line", "Hide Splitlines", "Hide Axis Labels", "Truncate Label"
   • Set values for:
     • "Label Rotation", "Custom Label Rotation", "Truncate Label Value"
     • And adjust font properties and color.
2. Vertical Axis Customizations:
   • Toggle options like "Hide Axis Line", "Hide Splitlines", and "Hide Axis Labels".
   • Adjust "Axis Position" and font properties.
3. Chart Legend:
   • Toggle the legend display and adjust its appearance, position, truncation, and shape.
4. Chart Margin:
   • Define margins for all four sides of the chart.
5. Chart Label:
   • Determine the position of value labels on the chart.
6. Chart Colors:
   • Modify chart colors, introduce gradients, and adjust background gradient settings.
7. Chart Title & Description:
   • Add titles and descriptions, and adjust their positions.
8. Formatting:
   • Set number formatting for value labels and integrate prefixes or suffixes.
9. Other Customizations:

  • Enabling dynamic behavior, chart zoom, and hiding null/0 values.
