Customizing Chart Appearance in DataBrain
Personalize your metric charts with an array of appearance settings for clarity and visual appeal.
Access Chart Appearance:
- Enter the metric card edit page.
- Click the "Appearance & Actions" icon at the top right of the chart area.
- Navigate to the "Appearance" tab.
- Horizontal Axis Customizations:
- Options include toggling:
- "Hide Axis Line", "Hide Splitlines", "Hide Axis Labels", "Truncate Label"
- Set values for:
- "Label Rotation", "Custom Label Rotation", "Truncate Label Value"
- And adjust font properties and color.
- Options include toggling:
- Vertical Axis Customizations:
- Toggle options like "Hide Axis Line", "Hide Splitlines", and "Hide Axis Labels".
- Adjust "Axis Position" and font properties.
- Chart Legend:
- Toggle the legend display and adjust its appearance, position, truncation, and shape.
- Chart Margin:
- Define margins for all four sides of the chart.
- Chart Label:
- Determine the position of value labels on the chart.
- Chart Colors:
- Modify chart colors, introduce gradients, and adjust background gradient settings.
- Chart Title & Description:
- Add titles and descriptions, and adjust their positions.
- Formatting:
- Set number formatting for value labels and integrate prefixes or suffixes.
