The Pie Chart is an excellent choice for illustrating the proportional breakdown of different categories within a dataset.

Navigation to Create/Edit a Pie Chart:

  1. Access the Dashboard:
    • Navigate to the dashboard where you intend to add or edit a metric card.
  2. Create or Edit a Metric Card:
    • For a new chart, click on "Create Metric" in the desired dashboard.
    • To edit an existing chart, open the metric card you wish to modify.
  3. Choose Chart Type:
    • In the metric editing interface, locate the "Chart Type" selector.
    • Select "Pie" from the available chart types.

Customizing the Pie Chart:

Under the "Appearance" tab, the following customization is available for the Pie Chart:

  • Show Label Line: Enable this option to display lines connecting labels to their corresponding pie segments, making it easier to match labels with their data.

In addition to these appearance options, you can also set up actions for the chart under the "Actions" tab, as well as customize various aspects of the "Appearance" tab. For more detailed information on both appearance customization and setting up chart actions, please refer to Chart Appearance and Chart Actions.

The Pie Chart provides a visually appealing and straightforward representation of categorical data, enabling quick understanding of the relative sizes of data segments.
