Stacked Area Chart

    The Stacked Area Chart is an extension of the Area Chart, offering a layered view of data where each area stack represents a part of the whole, showcasing cumulative data points.


Navigation to Create/Edit a Stacked Area Chart:

  1. Access the Dashboard:
    • Navigate to the dashboard where you intend to add or edit a metric card.
  2. Create or Edit a Metric Card:
    • For a new chart, click on "Create Metric" in the desired dashboard.
    • To edit an existing chart, open the metric card you wish to modify.
  3. Choose Chart Type:
    • In the metric editing interface, locate the "Chart Type" selector.
    • Select "Stacked Area" from the available chart types.

Customizing the Stacked Area Chart:

Under the "Appearance" tab, these customizations are available for the Stacked Area Chart:

  • Hide 0/null Values: Choose to hide areas that represent zero or null values.
  • Enable Dynamic Behavior: Enable the chart to adapt dynamically, displaying data responsively.
  • Enable Chart Zoom: Allow users to zoom in for a more detailed view of specific chart segments.

In addition to these appearance options, you can also set up actions for the chart under the "Actions" tab, as well as customize various aspects of the "Appearance" tab. The Stacked Area Chart effectively visualizes part-to-whole relationships and changes over time, making it a powerful tool for data analysis and presentation.
