A Stacked Bar Chart presents data in layers, showing the cumulative effect of multiple data series stacked on top of each other. It's useful for understanding part-to-whole relationships within categories.

  1. Access the Dashboard:
    • Navigate to the dashboard where you intend to add or edit a metric card.
  2. Create or Edit a Metric Card:
    • For a new chart, click on "Create Metric" in the desired dashboard.
    • To edit an existing chart, open the metric card you wish to modify.
  3. Choose Chart Type:
    • In the metric editing interface, locate the "Chart Type" selector.
    • Select "Bar Stack" from the available chart types.

Customizing the Stacked Bar Chart:

The Stacked Bar Chart offers these customization options under the "Appearance" tab:

  • Show Bar Background: Toggle the display of a background behind the bars.
  • Modify Bar Width: Adjust the width of the bars in the chart.
  • Modify Top/Bottom Bar Radius: Change the radius of the top and bottom of the bars.
  • Enable Chart Zoom: Allow users to zoom into specific areas of the chart.
  • Show 100% Stacked Bar: Opt to display the bars as a percentage of the total for each category.

In addition to these appearance options, you can also set up actions for the chart under the "Actions" tab, as well as customize various aspects of the "Appearance" tab. For more detailed information on both appearance customization and setting up chart actions, please refer to Chart Appearance and Chart Actions.

These customizations enhance the user's understanding and interaction with the Stacked Bar Chart, providing a clearer view of how each segment contributes to the total.
