The Bubble Chart is a versatile visualization tool, ideal for displaying three dimensions of data. Each point's X and Y positions represent two dimensions, while the bubble size indicates the third dimension, offering a compact and informative view of complex data sets.

Navigation to Create/Edit a Bubble Chart:

  1. Access the Dashboard:
    • Navigate to the dashboard where you intend to add or edit a metric card.
  2. Create or Edit a Metric Card:
    • For a new chart, click on "Create Metric" in the desired dashboard.
    • To edit an existing chart, open the metric card you wish to modify.
  3. Choose Chart Type:
    • In the metric editing interface, locate the "Chart Type" selector.
    • Select "Bubble" from the available chart types.

Customizing the Bubble Chart:

The "Appearance" tab provides the following options for customizing the Bubble Chart:

  • Constant For Bubble Size: This numerical value sets a baseline for the bubble size, helping to maintain consistency and readability across the chart.
  • Enable Chart Zoom: By activating this feature, users can zoom into specific areas of the chart for a closer examination of the data points.

In addition to these appearance options, you can also set up actions for the chart under the "Actions" tab, as well as customize various aspects of the "Appearance" tab. For more detailed information on both appearance customization and setting up chart actions, please refer to Chart Appearance and Chart Actions.

The Bubble Chart is particularly useful for comparing and contrasting clusters of data in a visually engaging and easily interpretable format.
