Managing Dashboard Filters in DataBrain
Dashboard filters allow for more precise data viewing and analysis within your dashboard.
Access Dashboard Filters:
- Click the "Settings" icon next to the "Create Metric" button.
- Select "Dashboard Filters" from the dropdown.
- Adding Filters:
- For the first filter, enable the toggle.
- For subsequent filters, click "+ Add Another Filter".
- Configuring a Filter:
- Select the table containing the filter data.
- Choose the "Column" and its "Datatype".
- Assign a unique identifier in "Save As".
- Filter Customizations:
- Toggle options like:
- "Mark This Filter as Default"
- "Show Filter in Main Horizontal Bar"
- For datatypes like "string", "default", and "boolean", consider these settings:
- "Add Manual Options": On enabling, you can append options with "+ Add Option".
- "Show Client Scoped Filter Options": Activate to choose the client column and its datatype.
- Toggle options like:
- Correlating Filters:
- To interlink filters, select another filter under "Depend On". This synchronizes two filters, e.g., "team" and "players", where player options adjust based on the team selected.
- Finalize & Save:
- Once you've set up your filter's logic, click "Save".
- Removing Filters:
- To delete a filter, select "Remove Filter".
By leveraging these filter settings, you can ensure a streamlined and efficient data analysis experience in DataBrain.
