Create a Metric

Creating a Metric in DataBrain

Metrics offer detailed insights within your dashboards. Here's how to set one up:

1. Access Dashboard:
   • Navigate to the desired dashboard where you wish to add the metric.
2. Initiate Metric Creation:
   • If it's your first metric, click "Create Metric" either at the center of the screen or the top right corner.
   • For additional metrics, use the "Create Metric" button located at the top right.
3. Select Data Source:
   • Within the create metric page, choose the desired table from the schemas of your added databases.
4. Configure Metric:
   • "Drag and Drop" desired columns as dimensions and metrics.
   • Choose a visualization using the "Chart Icon".
   • Further refine using options like "Joins", "Filters", "Sort", and other available actions. These are found among the list of icons.
5. Save Metric:
   • Once satisfied with your chart, click "Save to Dashboard" at the top right.
   • Choose the target "Dashboard", input the "Metric Name", "Metric ID", and provide a description.

Your metric is now configured and added to your DataBrain dashboard.
