Setting Up Workspace Settings in DataBrain

Customizing workspace settings ensures optimal accessibility and control over your data.


  1. Access Settings:
    • Click on the "Settings" icon adjacent to your workspace.
  2. Configure Action Permissions:
    • Navigate to the "Actions Permissions" tab.
    • Here, you can set access permissions for your end users by toggling the following options:
      • "Allow End-User Metric Creation": Lets users create metrics.
      • "Create Dataset": Allows you to generate a dataset that users can utilize for metric creation.
      • "Allow End-User Metric Deletion": Grants users the capability to erase metrics.
      • "Allow End-User Metric Updation": Enables users to modify metrics.
      • "Allow End-User Change Dashboard Layout": Permits users to alter the dashboard's layout.
    • Press "Save" to apply these permissions.
  3. Configure Cache:
    • Under "Cache Settings": Toggle "Cache" to enable or disable data caching.
  4. Configure Download Settings
    • Under "Download Settings"tabs:
      • Toggle "Cache" to enable or disable data caching.
      • Control users' ability to download raw data. This is achieved by temporarily storing data in our S3 bucket for a designated duration.

                   

Adjusting these settings ensures a tailored workspace experience in DataBrain.
